GIRLS INC. PAYS TRIBUTE TO BURNETTA WILLIAMS’ LIFE
AND TIRELESS SUPPORT
Girls Inc.® of Memphis recently paid tribute to longtime supporter Burnetta Williams at its annual luncheon, June 13, 2012. Burnetta not only served on the organization’s board, she was also a founding Triumph Bank board member, serving until her untimely passing, December 2011.
With several Triumph Bank employees in attendance, the luncheon honored Burnetta’s life, as well as the tireless energy, support, and leadership she provided Girls Inc. for so many years.
Will Chase, Triumph Bank President said, “Burnetta had a superb career, rising to Corporate Vice President and Treasurer at Fedex. She was also pivotal to the founding and growth of our bank. To those of us who were fortunate to work with her, this wasn’t surprising because she was an exceptional businesswoman. Yet she considered her role with Girls Inc. one of the most important of her life.”
