ST. JUDE TEAM MEMORIALIZES TRIUMPH EMPLOYEE’S HUSBAND

Each year, thousands of people combine their own personal fitness challenge with fundraising for St. Jude Children’s Hospital – Run For a Reason. Participants, called “St. Jude Heroes,” raise money for their teams running in full marathons, ½ marathons, or 5K’s.

One such event is being held December 1, 2012 in Memphis, and one particular team will have special significance. “Team Frank – Smoky Mountain Highs” was created by Triumph Bank’s own Catherine Duncan in memory of her late husband, Frank, who died as the result of a fire at the Duncan’s home. Frank thoroughly enjoyed hiking and the outdoors, and was very proud of having hiked the entire Appalachian Trail. On her Run For a Reason web page, Catherine said, “I created Team Frank – The Smoky Mountain Highs, in Frank's memory for anyone who wanted to run the St. Jude Marathon, ½ Marathon, 5K, or support St. Jude in his memory. Frank was the most generous, selfless person I have ever known and I thought raising money for the kids at St. Jude would be something that we could do while celebrating Frank's life at the same time.”
