Breast cancer survivor, Rachel Culver, appears on TV as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Rachel Culver is Assistant Vice President for Cash Management & Internet Services at Triumph Bank. She is also a 2-year breast cancer survivor. October 13, 2011, Rachel appeared on WPTY as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month to promote the 11th annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk to benefit breast cancer research.

When asked to tell her story, Rachel said, “I was diagnosed in May of 2009 at the age of 30. The standards have changed for the age limit for when you’re supposed to start getting a mammogram. I had never had one. I want to make sure I get the word out so that women my age or younger know.” This was the second time Rachel was featured on TV to promote awareness and the Making Strides event – previously appearing on Fox 13’s morning show October 3rd.

Triumph Bank proudly sponsored Rachel’s team at the American Cancer Society event. In addition, throughout October Triumph Bank made cards and breast cancer ribbon pins available in all offices for donations in honor of cancer patients and survivors.
